Caribbean wedding photographer
For the wedding of Anais and Julien on the island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, I hugely traveled. I speak not only thousands of miles that separated me from France, but for the atmosphere that emerged during their wedding day. A wedding in the Caribbean is still dreaming. Them, made me dream. I was immersed in another world, another time. The tropical climate, the lush vegetation, these customs and traditions, colonial house they had chosen for their wedding day, everything was just amazing. Being there, it’s ending up in Louisiana to me. I was rocked by a Cajun music; sun rays through the louvers, tropical birds landing on a window or geckos progressing along the white walls, confirmed this feeling. Lunch with all their family was to take place under an old tree several centuries, it was a magical place. Local decoration was sublime. A river adjacent to the lunch place, allowed the guests to cool off and for the brave to swim. The evening was held in a shed: the tropical wetness gave this dance night an extraordinary ambience. I keep in my mind the picture of this magical tree in the night with the two newlyweds. This image reflects itself the magic of that day. Being a storyteller is an extraordinary thing: I am happy to have been theirs. Thank you Anais and Julien.
