It’s difficult to write here all the things I felt while sharing those two’s story. My words won’t fit with the deep emotions I’ve experienced. Sometimes you must stop trying to explain, you should just try to put down on words the emotions you’ve felt.
Imprints : « durable, deep marks… » Fleeting marks, like those left by a plane in the sky, like a footprint on the sand existing for a few seconds then disappearing under the foam of a wave. Indelible like these faces. Faces that will remain forever in my mind, forever in my heart. A lasting imprint… This is the impression, the feeling I’ve kept in me from that day.
Gabrielle & Vijay.
A stifling day. The wind, totally absent at sunrise, suddenly breaks into the day, as if it has considered this day too hot for those two. The tall grasses, still at first, are now moving around like dancers. Lulled by a scorching sun they are constantly changing colours, reminding me of a ballet of hundreds of ballerinas, each wearing a different outfit… The century-old tree in the middle of the space looks like an orchestra conductor surrounded by its musicians. The wind blowing through the tree produces a multitude of different sounds, each very different from the other. Leaves, branches and trunk come together to make this a very intense moment to experience… The moment is so heady and relaxing that I’d like to stop time. Hours are flying like seconds, time is going fast, too fast.
Some encounters, some life stories, stories in my life don’t come about by chance. I don’t believe in destiny though… I just personnaly believe that life couldn’t be imagined without this encounter.
Our encounter. Crossing the ocean to write their story made me « travel ».
Being close to them that day made me happy.
Happy to live this.
Happy to live.
